Sorna

SahariSahari is an instrumental Magham that is used in two different rythms. When it is performed in a quick and pleasant rhythm, it carries a happy message like the time that the bride comes out of bridal chamber, birth of a child or birth of a colt; but when it is performed in a slow rhythm, it carries a sad message like death and mourning. This Magham is performed with Sorna or Tanbour.
