Dohol:Dohol is an old instrument that is performed with Sorna. Dohol has a wooden cylinder with a large diameter and small height. They put a skin on it’s both sides. For making sound, they use two different wood called Gorz and Tarke. They use goat’s skin for the first side, because its stronger to bear the Gorz’s beats ; and use sheep’s skin for the other side. This instrument is settled in the category of Membraphones.

Like other instruments in Lorestan, there is no standard
size for Dohol.So, the measurement shown below is
the average of three different Dohols.
